1. Who you are dealing with
Scroll Studio is made and operated by Innovate Web Development, 1614 Morning Dew Dr., Byron Center, MI 49315, United States. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean that business, and “you” means the person or organisation using Scroll Studio.
These terms take effect August 9, 2026. By buying a licence, downloading the plugin, or using this website, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Scroll Studio.
2. Purchases go through Paddle
Paddle is our merchant of record. When you buy Scroll Studio, the payment transaction is between you and Paddle.com Market Ltd., not directly with us. Paddle handles the checkout, collects any sales tax or VAT that applies where you live, issues your receipt, and processes refunds. Paddle’s own buyer terms apply to that transaction alongside these terms.
We never see or store your card number. What we receive from Paddle is your email address and the reference IDs for your order, so we can issue and manage your licence key. See our Privacy Policy for the detail.
3. What a licence gives you
A paid Scroll Studio licence, for as long as it stays active, gives you:
- the paid build of the plugin, with all eight effects and the full template library;
- automatic updates delivered to your WordPress sites;
- email support from us;
- the Studio conveniences that are part of the paid tier, including saved looks and per-breakpoint settings.
Licences are sold per year, in two tiers:
- Single site
- Activate the plugin on one website at a time.
- Unlimited
- Activate the plugin on as many websites as you like, including client sites you build and maintain.
A single-site licence is not locked to one domain forever. Deactivate it from the plugin’s settings screen on the old site and you can activate it somewhere else — useful when a site moves from staging to production.
Using it for clients
You may use Scroll Studio on websites you build for clients. What you may not do is sell, sublicense, resell, or hand out your licence key as if it were the product — the key is yours. If a client needs their own updates and support after handover, they need their own licence.
4. The code itself is MIT-licensed
Scroll Studio’s engine, runtime and plugin code are released under the MIT licence. That is a deliberate choice: you are never locked in, and nothing we do to your licence can reach into a site and switch off work you have already published.
What your licence key controls is access to updates, to support, and to the paid build’s download — not your right to keep running the copy you already have. If your licence lapses, the effects already on your sites keep working exactly as before. You simply stop receiving new versions and stop being able to open a support ticket.
5. Renewals, price, and cancellation
Licences renew automatically each year through Paddle, so your updates and support do not lapse by accident. Paddle emails you before each renewal charge.
Your renewal price is locked. Scroll Studio is a new plugin and its prices are introductory — they will rise over time. As long as you keep your licence active without a break, you stay on the price you originally signed up at. If you let a licence lapse and come back later, you rejoin at whatever the current price is.
You can cancel at any time from the link in your Paddle receipt, or by emailing support@innovatewebdevelopment.com and asking us to cancel it for you. Cancelling stops the next charge; your licence stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for. For getting money back, see the Refund Policy.
6. What we ask of you
When using Scroll Studio and this website, please do not:
- share, publish, resell or sublicense your licence key;
- use one licence on more sites than your tier allows, or work around the activation limit;
- attempt to break into, overload, or disrupt our licence and update servers;
- use the plugin to build anything unlawful.
If a key is being shared or used far beyond its tier, we may deactivate that key. We will email you first and give you a chance to put it right, unless the abuse is flagrant.
7. Support
Support is email support for the plugin itself: installation, activating your licence, getting an effect working, and bugs. We aim to reply within two business days.
Support does not extend to building your site for you, writing custom code, fixing problems caused by other plugins or themes, or hosting and server issues. If you want that kind of help, we do offer it as paid work — just ask.
8. Changes to the plugin and to these terms
Scroll Studio is actively developed. We may add, change, or retire effects and features. We will not remove a significant feature from the paid tier without a good reason and reasonable notice.
We may update these terms. When we make a material change, we will update the “last updated” date at the top of this page and, for existing licence holders, email you. Continuing to use Scroll Studio after a change means you accept the updated terms.
9. No warranty
Scroll Studio is provided “as is”. We test it carefully across the builders we support, but we cannot promise it will be free of bugs, or that it will work with every combination of theme, plugin, browser and host in existence. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
Please keep backups of your website. That is good practice with any plugin, ours included.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, neither we nor anyone working with us is liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses — including lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption — arising from your use of Scroll Studio.
Our total liability to you for any claim relating to Scroll Studio is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions — in which case those exclusions do not apply to you.
11. Ending a licence
You can stop using Scroll Studio at any time. We may end a licence if these terms are seriously breached — for example the key-sharing case in section 6 — or if a payment is reversed via chargeback. Because the code is MIT-licensed, ending a licence removes access to updates, support and downloads; it does not disable what is already installed.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the courts of that jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in a country whose law gives you rights that cannot be contracted away, those rights still apply to you.
Note that your purchase transaction is with Paddle, so Paddle’s own terms govern the payment itself.
